They’ve just saved each other from something big, everything is fine and over, Stiles gets overly hyper and just jolts his body in amazement from the lack of pressure and stress held on to him for so long whilst Derek is there with his mouth open as if he can’t believe they’ve really won. They look at each other with such shock and awe that Stiles jumps him with a hyperactive laugh, gives him a hug and Derek hugs back repeatedly saying ‘we did it…’ in amazement. Then they just have a sigh of relief and reality hits that they’re still hugging but they aren’t letting go and they just slowly take their weight off of each other, even more awkwardly than just jolting backwards. Looking into each others face wondering who’s going to say the first word and Stiles just cheekily smirks it off and Derek does his whole Alpha wolf nod thing and scratches the back of his head then turning his face to the floor with another 30 second agonisingly awkward silence until Derek points to the door and says ‘Lets find the others?’ Stiles just bursts out before Derek could finish ‘oh god yes.’

Stiles usually brings out Derek’s primal urges whenever he’s in close range but it doesn’t help the fact that Jackson has begun to take notice of Stiles which has Derek’s wolf howling in displeasure and forcing the need for him to stake his claim.
